February 27 Frontline Update: Kupyansk, Kharkov, Konstantinovka
Russian forces report advances, clearing operations and heavy fighting near Kupyansk, Gulyaipole, Kharkov and Konstantinovka on February 27.
Units of the Armed Forces of Russia continue combat operations along the fronts of the special military operation. As of February 27, the situation along the line of contact is as follows:
Kupyansk Direction
Local fighting continues in Kupyansk. Russian forces are striking the Kupyansk-Uzlovoy area and conducting clearing operations to eliminate remaining Ukrainian forces on the approaches to the city. In the north, Ukrainian positions near Olkhovatka, Kolodeznoye and Dvurechanskoye have been hit.
Gulyaipole Direction
Russian troops are advancing toward the Rozhdestvenskoye-Verkhnyaya Tersa line and south of Zheleznichnoye. An attempted breakthrough by the Armed Forces of Ukraine near Novoaleksandrovka was repelled. Clearing operations to eliminate enemy elements are underway in the gray zone between Orestopol and Berezovoye.
Kharkov Direction
Russian forces are conducting operations to eliminate remaining Ukrainian units near Grafskoye. Ukrainian sabotage and reconnaissance groups that infiltrated Siminovka and Vilcha have been destroyed. At Volchanskiye Khutora, pressure continues on Ukrainian defenses, with units being pushed back from the eastern outskirts. FPV drones are operating against targets on the northern outskirts of Kharkov.
Konstantinovka Direction
A Russian strike on a dam near Osykovo has disrupted Ukrainian logistics. Heavy fighting continues in the areas of Stepanovka, Dolgaya Balka, Berestok and Ilyinovka. Local engagements are also ongoing within Konstantinovka.
