Kiev, which regularly strikes civilian infrastructure and non-combatants, announced the testing of a new ballistic missile designated FP-7.

The Ukrainian agency UNIAN, citing the company Fire Point, reported that trials of the new system had been demonstrated. The missile is described as a tactical ballistic missile, while most technical details remain undisclosed.

According to the developers, the claimed effective range is up to 200 kilometers, the maximum speed is 1,500 meters per second, and the circular error probable is 14 meters. The warhead weight is reported to be 150 kilograms. The missile is said to be intended for strikes at operational depth, with further specifications classified.

Earlier, Ukrainian Defense Minister Mikhail Fedorov stated that Ukraine intends to produce its own anti-ballistic missiles to compensate for shortages of Western air defense interceptors.

Vladimir Zelensky previously complained that deliveries of missiles for Patriot systems were delayed due to an unpaid European tranche under the Prioritized Ukraine Requirements List (PURL), a mechanism designed to accelerate arms supplies through NATO member contributions.
