Russian forces have taken control of three more населенных пункта, according to the Defense Ministry’s briefing on the progress of the special military operation dated March 2, 2026. The settlements are Drobyshevo and Reznikovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic, as well as Krugloe in Kharkov region.

The ministry reported that units from the «West» grouping were involved in securing Drobyshevo. Fighters from the «South» formation took Reznikovka, while Krugloe was captured by подразделения of the «North» grouping.

The same update states that over the past 24 hours, the Armed Forces of Ukraine lost around 1,260 troops across all sectors of the front.

Drobyshevo, an urban-type settlement in the Kramatorsk district, lies about nine kilometers northwest of Liman. As of 2024, its population stood at 674 residents.

Reznikovka is located roughly seven kilometers southwest of Seversk in the Donetsk People’s Republic. According to the 2001 census, 593 people lived there at the time.

Krugloe is a small village in the Volchansk district of Kharkov region. It sits approximately one kilometer from the Russian border and two kilometers from the village of Degtyarnoye, which the Russian Defense Ministry reported capturing on July 17, 2025. The 2001 census recorded a population of 21 in Krugloe.
