According to military analyst Yuri Podolyaka, Russian forces have created an encirclement of Ukrainian troops in the settlement of Rodinskoye in the Donetsk People’s Republic (DNR). He reported that units of the Russian Armed Forces entered the southern sector of the village, an area of low-rise housing, and linked up with forces advancing from the west. Podolyaka added that Russian troops are completing the clearance of a «pocket» east of Mirnograd.

In his assessment, the situation has resulted in the formation of a tactical encirclement around Rodinskoye. While Russian troops are not yet storming the area, he noted that Ukrainian forces inside the perimeter have been cut off.

Military reports also indicate that on the Krasnoarmeysk (Pokrovsk) axis, Russian troops continue pushing toward Novopavlovka. Heavy clashes remain ongoing near Chunyshino.

Ukrainian units are reported to be counterattacking in the areas of Novotoretskoye and Boykovka, attempting to disrupt Russian advances and sever the so-called Dobropolye salient. Fighting is also continuing near Nikanorovka, Novoye Shakhovo, Sofievka, and Rodinskoye.
