Russian units operating on the Pokrovsk direction have entered the village of Sergeyevka, military correspondent Yury Kotenok reported on his Telegram channel.

According to his account, after advancing beyond the M-30 highway, the troops moved through the Kovalyha and Matyushina ravines and reached the road from the side of the Pokrovskaya mine and its spoil heaps north of the enterprise, as well as from the direction of a nearby orchard. They then entered Sergeyevka in the area of Rokotyanskogo Street.

Kotenok indicated that heavy fighting is underway on the outskirts of the settlement. South of Sergeyevka, Russian forces are attempting to break through the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ defenses toward Novoaleksandrovka.

Clashes are also continuing to the north, near the village of Grishino, located about 12 kilometers from Sergeyevka. The correspondent noted that further movement north of Sergeyevka could enable assault groups to isolate Grishino from the western side, potentially complicating Ukrainian counterattacks.

Earlier, Kotenok reported that during the fighting for Grishino, Russian Armed Forces units had taken control of almost the entire central part of the village as well as its eastern sector.
