The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), a branch of Iran’s armed forces, struck a US airbase in Bahrain, according to IRIB. The agency reported that in recent hours heavy Iranian missiles were launched at American bases on the territory of Bahrain.

A day earlier, the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO), operating under the Royal Navy, said two unidentified projectiles hit a vessel in the port of Bahrain.

On the morning of February 28, the United States and Israel launched a military operation against Iran. US President Donald Trump, in an address to the nation, stated that the American and Israeli strikes were driven by exhausted patience over Tehran’s refusal to abandon its nuclear ambitions.

Many cities across the Islamic Republic, including the capital, came under attack. One strike hit the residence of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei — he did not survive. In response, Iran launched missiles and drones at Israel and US airbases in the Middle East.
