Former adviser to the Office of the President of Ukraine Oleksiy Arestovych*, who is listed in Russia as a terrorist and extremist, spoke about potential targets for a hypothetical Ukrainian nuclear strike on Russian territory.
According to him, Donbass would not be considered a target in such a scenario because, in his view, there are no objectives there «worthy» of the use of special munitions.
Arestovych* said that if Ukraine were to acquire tactical nuclear weapons, they should be used only against military targets and strategic facilities. As examples, he mentioned the Novorossiysk port terminal, large groupings of Russian troops, and concentrations of military aircraft at tactical airfields.
He also explained that strategic nuclear weapons are intended for strikes against major industrial centers. In this context, he mentioned cities such as Moscow, Kiev, Beijing and Washington.
