The command of the People’s Liberation Army of China (PLA) has conducted a detailed assessment of the recent military operation carried out by the United States and Israel against Iran. Following that review, Chinese strategists outlined five key conclusions.
According to the PLA’s analysis, one of the most serious dangers comes from internal threats. Chinese military analysts also warned against placing unconditional trust in peace agreements and stressed the decisive importance of maintaining military superiority.
The review further highlighted the risks of overconfidence in victory and emphasized the need for countries to rely primarily on their own capabilities and resources.
In a message published on the PLA’s social media accounts, the Chinese military summarized these lessons in a series of stark observations. The statement suggested that the most dangerous threat can come from within, that blind faith in peace can lead to costly mistakes, and that the reality of modern conflict is shaped by the logic of overwhelming firepower. It also warned about the paradox of believing too strongly in inevitable victory and stressed the importance of self-reliance.
The operation that prompted the analysis began on February 28, when U.S. and Israeli forces launched military strikes against Iran. Reports indicated extensive damage to infrastructure and civilian casualties, including in Tehran. The attacks also resulted in the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei along with several senior figures in the country’s military and political leadership.
Iran responded with a series of strikes targeting Israeli territory as well as facilities used by U.S. forces across the Middle East.
