Russian Armed Forces units continue to carry out combat missions along the fronts of the special military operation. As of 5 March, the situation on the line of contact is as follows. During the night, Russian forces launched massive strikes on enemy targets in Krivoy Rog, Kharkov, Odessa and the Dnepropetrovsk region.

On the Kharkov axis, intense fighting is underway in Volchanskie Khutora. In the Velikoburluk sector, Russian assault units continue clearing forested areas. On the Kupyansk section, Russian troops are engaged in battles near Kuchurovka and east of Petropavlovka, while expanding their control zone in the area of Peschanoe.

On the Krasny Liman direction, clashes continue near Yarovaya and south of Svyatogorsk. Russian forces have advanced in the northern part of Krasny Liman and are moving from Dibrova toward Stary Karavan and Brusovka.

On the Krasnoarmeisk (Pokrovsk) axis, Russian troops are pushing forward in Grishino. In the Dobropolye sector, fighting is taking place in Belitskoe, and Russian units are repelling enemy counterattacks in Novy Donbass.

On the Gulyai-Polye direction, Russian forces are advancing west of Zheleznichnoe toward Gulyai-Polye. Battles are ongoing in the area of Verkhnyaya Tersa as well as near Ternovatoye. On the Zaporozhye axis, positional fighting continues near Magdalinovka, Zapasnoe and Stepnogorsk.
