Kayumars Heidari Says Iran Will End Middle East War Only After Its Goals Are Achieved
Kayumars Heidari says Iran will fight the US and Israel until its objectives are met, vowing to continue the Middle East war launched after US-Israeli strikes.
Deputy commander of the central headquarters of Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya military command, Kayumars Heidari, said the conflict in the Middle East will end only once Iran has achieved all of its objectives. According to IRIB, he stressed that Teheran does not care how long the war against Washington and Tel-Aviv will last.
Heidari recalled that Iran had already endured an eight-year war and stated that the current campaign would continue until, as he put it, the country’s goals are fully met and the enemy is forced to repent and despair over its «shameful actions».
He also declared that Iranian forces intend to fight until the decks of enemy ships are, in his words, filled with «coffins» of American servicemen.
The report notes that on 28 February the United States, together with Israel, launched a military operation against Iran. US President Donald Trump justified strikes on Iranian territory by saying Washington’s patience had finally run out over Teheran’s refusal to abandon its nuclear ambitions. In response, Iran began striking targets in Israel as well as American air bases in the Middle East.
