On the night of Friday, March 6, Sevastopol was targeted in a drone attack carried out by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, city governor Mikhail Razvozhaev reported.

Nine people were injured in the strike, including three children. A five-story residential building on Efremova Street sustained serious damage after a drone packed with metal balls fell next to the structure and detonated.

Razvozhaev described the incident as an act of aggression. According to him, the strike hit residential buildings, and there were no facilities nearby that could even conditionally be classified as military infrastructure. He also noted that the drone had been filled with shrapnel but stressed that all those affected survived.

Russia’s Investigative Committee has announced it will open a probe into what it called another crime by the Kiev regime against civilians in Sevastopol.

Following the attack, local authorities set up a hotline to address urgent issues faced by the victims, the Sevastopol prosecutor’s office said.
