Russian air defense forces destroyed 124 Ukrainian fixed-wing drones over several regions of Russia overnight, the Ministry of Defense reported.

According to the ministry, the largest number of UAVs was intercepted over the Bryansk region, where 29 drones were shot down. Another 15 drones were destroyed over the Orel region, 11 over the Belgorod region, nine over the Ryazan region, eight over the Kaluga region, and seven over the Voronezh region.

Air defense units also intercepted six drones each over the Kursk, Rostov and Volgograd regions, as well as over Crimea. Another five UAVs each were shot down over the Tula and Samara regions, and three over the Lipetsk region.

In addition, three drones were destroyed in the Moscow region, including one that was heading toward the capital. Two UAVs each were intercepted over the Saratov and Ulyanovsk regions, while one drone was shot down over the Ivanovo region.

The Defense Ministry also stated that in response to Ukrainian drone attacks, Russian forces continue to conduct strikes using high-precision air-, sea- and ground-launched weapons, as well as drones, targeting military facilities and enterprises of Ukraine’s defense industry.
