Russian Forces Launch Massive Overnight Strike on Ukraine Infrastructure
Russia says its forces launched a massive strike on Ukraine’s military industry, energy facilities and airfields in response to attacks on Russian civilian targets.
Russian armed forces carried out a massive overnight strike on March 7 targeting Ukraine’s military-industrial complex and energy infrastructure, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported.
According to the ministry, the attack was conducted in response to what Moscow described as terrorist actions by Kyiv against civilian targets in Russia. The strikes targeted enterprises of Ukraine’s defense-industrial sector, energy facilities supporting the Ukrainian armed forces, and military airfields.
Earlier, the Russian military group «Sever» (North) reported destroying 29 Ukrainian drone control centers in one day. Russian forces also destroyed 17 heavy R-18 quadcopters and a U.S.-made M113 armored personnel carrier. Ukrainian losses on this sector of the front reportedly exceeded 210 personnel.
In addition, Russian forces reportedly destroyed three Ukrainian artillery systems located in urban areas of Konstantinovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic during the past week. According to the report, the targets were struck using Molniya-2 and Molniya-2T drones, which allowed the strikes to be carried out without damage to civilian infrastructure.
