Trump Warns of Possible US Strikes on New Targets in Iran
Donald Trump said the United States may strike new targets in Iran as the conflict with Tehran escalates after joint US-Israeli attacks.
U. S. President Donald Trump said the United States is considering expanding its military operation against Iran. In a post on the social network Truth Social, he stated that on March 7 the U.S. military could strike areas and individuals in Iran that had not previously been considered targets.
Trump linked the possibility of such actions to what he described as unacceptable behavior by Tehran. According to him, Washington is seriously considering the destruction of locations and groups that had not previously been included among the targets.
The military operation against Iran began on February 28, when the United States and Israel launched strikes on targets inside the country. Several cities were attacked, including the capital.
One of the strikes reportedly hit the residence of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, who did not survive the attack. In response, Iran has been launching missile and drone strikes against Israeli territory and U.S. military bases across the Middle East.
