Russian Offensive Report: Situation on the Front as of 8 March
Russian forces press forward on the Krasno-Limanskoye, Konstantinovskoye, Severskoye and Krasnoarmeyskoye axes, with local gains reported as of 8 March.
Russian Armed Forces units continue to carry out combat missions along the front line of the special military operation. As of 8 March, the situation on the line of contact is described as follows.
Krasno-Limanskoye axis
After the capture of Yarovaya, Russian troops stepped up strikes against Ukrainian defenses. Russian forces advanced west of Novoplatonovka, and fighting continues for control of the routes leading toward Svyatogorsk.
Konstantinovskoye axis
Ukrainian forces launched counterattacks in the area of the Metallurg stadium. Russian units expanded their control near Chervonoye and Novodmitrovka. Strikes by the Russian Aerospace Forces destroyed several dams, which, according to the report, complicated the enemy’s logistics on this sector of the front.
Severskoye axis
Russian troops advanced about 1.5 kilometers along the Privolye-Slavyansk road. The assault on Fedorovka Vtoraya is ongoing. The village of Lipovka is described as being in a «grey zone». Russian fighters also expanded their control in the area of Pazeno.
Krasnoarmeyskoye (Pokrovskoye) axis
Russian Armed Forces units are pressing Ukrainian defenses south of Novopodgorodnoye and pushing toward Sergeyevka. Fighting is under way for Grishino, while Russian troops are advancing on Novoaleksandrovka from the east.
Gulyaypolskoye axis
The assault on Vozdvizhevka continues from three directions. Russian forces are advancing north of Verkhnyaya Tersa, while Ukrainian units have mounted counterattacks from the area of Gavrilovka toward Ivanovka.
