London Alarmed After MoD Video Exposes Secret UK Facility in Ukraine
Daily Mail reports the UK fears a secret British military site in Ukraine may be targeted by Russia after the MoD briefly posted a video in X revealing its coordinates.
Journalists at Daily Mail report that London now fears Russian forces could target and destroy a highly classified British military site on Ukrainian territory.
According to the newspaper, the concern arose after the UK Ministry of Defence accidentally posted a video on its account in the social network X that appeared to show the coordinates of this facility. The clip reportedly racked up hundreds of thousands of views before it was quietly removed from the ministry’s page. The reporters note that a top-secret British site in Ukraine may now be at risk of Russian airstrikes and drone attacks because the footage could allow the object to be identified.
The article recalls that the British Ministry of Defence only recently, and for the first time, publicly acknowledged the existence of facilities in Ukraine used for servicing and overhauling military equipment under the management of British companies. Officials in London argue that placing these maintenance hubs directly on Ukrainian soil makes it possible to repair hardware more quickly and return it to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Western media also reported that UK deputy defence minister Luke Pollard has already visited one of these sites, though its exact location has not been disclosed. The piece adds that at the end of February London announced a new aid package for the Kiev regime worth nearly 34 million dollars.
