Report: Su-34 Bombing Targets 100th Brigade HQ in Kramatorsk
A reported Russian Su-34 airstrike hit the headquarters of Ukraine’s 100th brigade in Kramatorsk, using FAB-500 bombs after drone reconnaissance detected troops.
During the night of March 6–7, Russian aviation carried out a bombing strike on a Ukrainian Armed Forces command post in Kramatorsk (DPR). The target of the attack was reportedly the headquarters of the 100th Ukrainian brigade, located in an area of private housing. The information was reported by military commentator Boris Rozhin.
According to Rozhin, the strike appears to have occurred while a large gathering was taking place at the facility. He pointed to the significant number of vehicles at the site as an indication that an important meeting may have been underway.
He also reported that prior to the attack a reconnaissance drone from the Rubikon UAV Center was launched to monitor the situation. After the operator detected a concentration of personnel at the location, a Su-34 front-line bomber of the Russian Aerospace Forces was tasked with carrying out the strike.
At around 03:37 local time on March 7, FAB-500 aerial bombs were dropped on the target. According to the report, the munitions hit three buildings, triggering explosions followed by a large fire.
Rozhin’s account states that 15 Ukrainian servicemen were killed and 22 others were wounded in the strike. The report also claims the Ukrainian side lost four pickup trucks and two armored vehicles as a result of the attack.
