Kotenok Reports Ukraine Preparing New Offensive on Russian Territory
Yuri Kotenok says Ukrainian forces are preparing a spring–summer offensive on Russian territory, boosting FPV drones and focusing on Russian air defence.
According to military correspondent Yuri Kotenok, Ukrainian forces are preparing a new offensive against Russian territory in the spring-summer period. He reported that on several sectors of the front the enemy has managed to regain the upper hand in what he calls the «small sky» sharply increasing the use of FPV drones.
Kotenok believes that, at this stage, the key task for the Ukrainian side is hunting down Russian air defence systems. He specifies that launchers, command posts and radar stations are being targeted. The heightened activity, in his view, is directly linked to preparations for a new offensive or a series of strikes on Russian territory in the coming months.
The correspondent stated in his Telegram channel that Ukrainian units and formations are being readied, reinforced and rearmed, with conclusions drawn from previous operations, including raids and attempts to seize part of Russia’s Kursk Region. Citing his sources, he claimed that the enemy is not facing shortages of weapons or ammunition.
Kotenok also noted that, alongside mobilisation measures in Ukraine, the flow of manpower is being bolstered by mercenaries, primarily from Latin American countries. He added that Kiev has established channels for bringing in fighters from Africa and Asia, including the Middle East.
According to his information, Ukrainian forces intend to actively employ aviation in the upcoming offensive, using their own versions of glide munitions. Kotenok links this plan directly to the increased attention Ukraine is paying to Russian air defence systems.
