Russian air defenses intercept 70 Ukrainian drones overnight

Russian air defense systems destroyed 70 Ukrainian drones overnight in attacks across Belgorod, Kursk, Rostov, Volgograd, Crimea and the Black Sea.
Between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m., Russian air defense forces repelled a large-scale drone assault. According to the Ministry of Defense, 70 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles were intercepted and destroyed overnight.
The attack covered several regions, with defense systems engaging targets in Belgorod, Kursk, Rostov and Volgograd regions, as well as over Crimea and the Black Sea. The ministry did not provide a breakdown of how many drones were downed in each area.
Russian officials noted that Ukrainian forces carry out daily strikes using fixed-wing kamikaze drones aimed at border territories and central regions of Russia. Most of these aircraft, they said, are detected and neutralized by air defense units.
In response, Russian forces continue to deliver precision strikes against drone assembly workshops, defense industry facilities in Ukraine, and positions of Ukrainian troops, including their arms depots and equipment stockpiles.
