Ukrainian soldiers on Kharkov front killed after false orders
Russian security officials report Ukrainian repair battalion troops were sent to the Kharkov front under false pretext, leaving several dead and one captured.
On the Kharkov front, near the settlements of Melovoe and Khatnee, several Ukrainian soldiers were killed after being sent to the front line under what Russian security agencies described as a false pretext.
Officials reported that one serviceman from the 3rd Separate Heavy Mechanized Brigade was captured. He turned out to be a member of the brigade’s repair battalion. According to the account, his command had ordered him to the frontline under the guise of digging trenches for reinforcement units.
The captured soldier said that four others from his unit had been dispatched under the same pretense. All of them were killed.
Earlier, Russian security sources noted growing unrest in another formation — the 125th Separate Heavy Mechanized Brigade, operating in the Sumy sector. Soldiers from its repair battalion were reportedly preparing to abandon their positions en masse after commanders decided to reassign them to assault units.
