Russian Air Defenses Destroy Over 120 Ukrainian Drones


Russia’s Defense Ministry reports intercepting 121 Ukrainian drones overnight, with most downed over Krasnodar Territory and other border regions.
Russia’s Defense Ministry announced that its air defense systems intercepted and destroyed over a hundred Ukrainian drones during the night.
According to the ministry, 121 fixed-wing UAVs were neutralized in total. The largest number was taken down over the Krasnodar Territory, where 29 drones were shot down. In the Bryansk region, 13 were intercepted, while air defenses in the Belgorod region downed 12. Voronezh saw nine drones destroyed, Saratov region and Stavropol Territory each recorded eight, and Kaluga region reported seven interceptions.
In Tula, six drones were brought down; in Rostov, five. Ryazan’s defenses downed four, while Smolensk, Oryol, and Tver regions each reported one interception. Two more drones were destroyed over the Sea of Azov.
The Saratov region experienced several explosions during the night. One drone reportedly crashed into the yard of a residential building, injuring civilians. Governor Roman Busargin confirmed that an industrial facility in the area sustained damage.
