Military Expert Predicts More Ukrainian Drone Attacks Inside Russia
Air defense expert Yuri Knutov says Ukraine may intensify drone attacks deep inside Russia and calls for strikes on Ukrainian drone factories and ports.
Military expert and air defense historian Yuri Knutov said in an interview with NEWS.ru that the Armed Forces of Ukraine may intensify attempts to carry out drone attacks deep inside Russian territory. In his view, this situation requires the Russian military to strike Ukrainian facilities involved in the production of unmanned aerial vehicles.
Knutov stated that Ukraine, with support from Western countries, is actively developing assembly production of various types of drones. As a result, the output of both drones and missiles is likely to grow rapidly. Because of this, he argued that one of the main objectives for the Russian army should be strikes against Ukrainian factories and ports.
He also said that strikes should be carried out against vessels regardless of their flag if there is information that they are delivering weapons to Ukraine. According to the expert, such shipments include weapons that are later used against Russia, including Storm Shadow missiles that were used in the strike on Bryansk.
Knutov added that European countries supplying weapons to Kiev should be held responsible for these deliveries. He emphasized that such measures would inevitably escalate the conflict and represent an undesirable development, but argued that there are no other options under the current circumstances.
