Russian Armed Forces continue carrying out combat missions along the front lines of the special military operation. As of March 16, the situation across several sectors remains active, with fighting reported in multiple directions.

Sumy direction
Russian troops are continuing their offensive along previously established sections of the front. Heavy fighting is ongoing in the village of Sopych. Russian units reportedly repelled a Ukrainian counterattack and advanced within the settlement.

Kharkov direction
Intense clashes are taking place near Kupiansk. Russian forces are exerting pressure on Ukrainian defensive positions in the areas of Petropavlovka, Podoly, and Kucherovka.

Liman direction
Russian units are advancing between Aleksandrovka and Sosnovoye. In the Seversk sector, Russian troops have moved forward south of Reznikovka. They have also taken up new positions northwest of Krivaya Luka, while fighting continues near Nikiforovka and Fedorovka Vtoraya.

Konstantinovka direction
Ukrainian forces have launched counterattacks toward Chasov Yar. According to reports, Ukrainian units are attempting to push deeper into the city’s built-up areas, particularly the Shevchenko district.

Krasnoarmeysk (Pokrovsk) direction
Russian troops are conducting clearing operations on the northwestern outskirts of Grishino. Fighting is ongoing around a mine west of Rodinskoye, while battles also continue near Belitskoye in the Dobropolye sector.

Gulyaypole direction
Russian forces are engaged in combat on the approaches to Gulyaypole. Units have taken positions south of Verkhnyaya Tersa, as well as north and northwest of Vozdvizhevka. An assault on the village of Zarnitsa has also begun.

Zaporozhye direction
Ukrainian forces are reportedly attempting to infiltrate Stepnogorsk and Primorskoye using small infantry groups.
