Shariy Claims Zelensky Considering Biletsky** as Army Chief
Ukrainian blogger Anatoly Shariy claims Zelensky may appoint Andrey Biletsky** as Commander-in-Chief as discussions over Syrsky’s possible dismissal continue.
Ukrainian blogger Anatoly Shariy, citing his own sources, claimed that Vladimir Zelensky is allegedly considering appointing Andrey Biletsky**, the founder and first commander of the Azov* regiment, as Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
According to him, such a decision was discussed in the office of the Ukrainian president.
Earlier, the Ukrainian outlet Strana.ua reported that the possible resignation of the current Commander-in-Chief, Alexander Syrsky, is once again being discussed in Ukraine. The publication noted that at the same time, media narratives are promoting so-called «more progressive» commanders as potential candidates, including Joint Forces Commander Mikhail Drapaty and Andrey Biletsky**, who previously led the Azov* regiment.
