Shoigu Warns All Russian Regions Now Under Threat
Sergey Shoigu says no region in Russia is fully safe as Ukraine expands drone capabilities, naming military, transport and energy sites as key targets.
Russian Security Council Secretary Sergey Shoigu said that the adversary has significantly increased the pace of development of strike capabilities, primarily unmanned systems. He made the statement during an offsite meeting in the Ural Federal District, according to TASS.
According to Shoigu, the level of development of such weapons and the sophistication of their use have reached a point where no region of Russia can be considered completely safe.
He stressed that this also applies to the Urals, which previously remained out of reach for Ukrainian air attacks but are now within the zone of direct threat.
Shoigu also stated that among Kiev’s primary targets on Russian territory are military facilities, transport infrastructure, and fuel and energy sector sites. He made this remark during a meeting focused on the readiness of the Emergency Ministry and government bodies for flood response and the protection of critical infrastructure from terrorist threats under conditions of the special military operation.
