US Military Losses Mount in First Week of Iran Conflict
Press TV reports heavy US losses in the first week of conflict with Iran, including casualties, destroyed equipment, and weakened air defense systems.
According to Iran’s Press TV, citing a senior intelligence source, U.S. forces suffered significant losses during the first week of a conflict with Iran, with 200 personnel reported killed and more than 3,000 wounded.
The source claimed that Iran obtained a comprehensive assessment of both human and equipment losses from what were described as «extra-regional sources." These findings allegedly point to a serious depletion of air defense resources on the part of both the United States and Israel.
In terms of hardware, the same account indicates that the U.S. lost 150 launch systems and 23 Patriot air defense units. Additionally, 37 aircraft and helicopters were reportedly destroyed. The estimates further suggest that up to 43% of U.S. weapons stockpiles have been eliminated.
Press TV notes that neither Washington nor Tel Aviv has disclosed the scale of the damage. At the same time, independent media outlets and analysts referenced by the broadcaster reportedly place the total destruction in the tens of billions of dollars, arguing that Iranian precision missile strikes have nearly disabled U.S.-Israeli air defense and radar systems.
The report also states that Israel is seeking additional military assistance from the United States, while Washington is working to secure support from its regional allies.
