Units from Russia’s «West» group of forces have taken control of the settlement of Aleksandrovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic following active combat operations, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense.

The ministry reported that strikes targeted Ukrainian personnel and equipment across several sectors simultaneously. The operations involved engagements with four mechanized brigades, two unmanned systems battalions, and two territorial defense brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Fighting took place near Osinovo, Velikaya Shapkovka, Grushevka, and Borovaya in the Kharkov region, as well as in the areas of Yatskovka and Krasny Liman in the DPR.

According to the same source, Ukrainian forces lost up to 180 troops. The ministry also stated that two U.S.-made HMMWV armored vehicles, 25 other vehicles, two artillery systems, and an ammunition depot were destroyed.

A day earlier, the defense ministry announced the capture of two additional settlements-Sopych in the Sumy region and Kaleniki in the DPR.

Defense Minister Andrey Belousov, for his part, congratulated the command and personnel of the 283rd Motor Rifle Regiment on what he described as the liberation of Aleksandrovka. He indicated that the troops had demonstrated determination and resilience in combat, inflicting significant damage on opposing forces and forcing them to retreat.
