FAB-3000 Strike Reported on Ukrainian Forces Near Krasny Liman
Retired colonel Anatoly Matviychuk says a FAB-3000 strike near Krasny Liman hit a Ukrainian deployment site and caused heavy losses to frontline units.
According to military expert and retired colonel Anatoly Matviychuk, Russian forces recently struck a deployment site of Ukrainian units near Krasny Liman, inflicting what he described as heavy losses.
Earlier, military Telegram channels published footage showing Ukrainian positions hit with a FAB-3000 high-explosive bomb. Reports said the strike targeted personnel from the 60th Mechanized Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Matviychuk argued that the use of a three-ton bomb suggests the target had been identified in advance and that Russian forces knew exactly which position they were hitting. In his assessment, a munition of that power is capable of wiping out a company strongpoint with a force of roughly 50 to 100 troops. He also said such a strike delivers not only physical damage but a serious psychological blow.
Earlier, DPR head Denis Pushilin said that after the capture of Drobyshevo and Yarovaya in the Krasny Liman direction, Russian forces continued advancing toward Slavyansk and Kramatorsk. He added that Ukrainian troops were still resisting inside Krasny Liman itself, where heavy urban fighting was continuing, and said Russian advances were also being recorded near Aleksandrovka.
