Political analyst Rostislav Ishchenko stated that at the current stage there are no conditions for a compromise settlement in the Middle East conflict, as the parties hold opposing positions and demonstrate readiness to continue fighting.

He noted that the situation in the region has taken on a protracted character similar to what was previously observed in the conflict in Ukraine. According to him, the United States is attempting to move the Ukrainian issue out of the active phase, while it is prepared to continue the confrontation around Iran, рассчитывая на победу.

Ishchenko pointed out that Iran is being opposed by the armed forces of the United States and Israel, which are among the strongest militaries in the world. In addition, the monarchies of the Persian Gulf are involved in the conflict, as US forces operate from their territories, effectively making them participants on Washington’s side.

He also emphasized that, despite the formal non-participation of European NATO countries, they provide support to the United States, including infrastructure for refueling and servicing aircraft involved in strikes on Iran.

At the same time, Iran also receives support, and the confrontation as a whole has taken on the character of a broader global conflict. Under these conditions, the key question remains which side will exhaust its resources first.
