Tornado-S MLRS Delivers Surgical Strikes Despite Electronic Warfare
The Tornado-S MLRS provides precision strikes with guided missiles, even under electronic warfare, targeting enemy groups, missiles, and air defense systems.
According to a statement from the Russian state corporation «Rostech», the Tornado-S multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) is capable of hitting targets with «surgical» precision, even in the presence of enemy electronic warfare (EW) systems. This level of accuracy is made possible by the use of guided projectiles.
The Tornado-S units are specifically designed to target large groups of enemy forces, tactical missiles, air defense systems, and military-industrial infrastructure from long distances.
The corporation explained through its Telegram channel that the system is capable of controlling not only the range but also the trajectory of each missile, providing unprecedented flexibility in strike precision.
The effectiveness of the Tornado-S complex is attributed to several key factors. First, it has a significant range, allowing for strikes beyond the horizon. Additionally, the system possesses a powerful destructive capacity, able to target and destroy a wide range of enemy assets, from military hardware to fortified positions.
Rostech also reminded that earlier, Sergey Chemezov, the head of the corporation, noted that Ukrainian forces have had considerable difficulty intercepting the guided missiles from the Tornado-S, even when using Western air defense systems.
