During the night of March 20, Russian air defense systems repelled another wave of drone attacks, according to the Russian Defense Ministry. In total, 26 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles were intercepted over several regions of the country as well as above the Black Sea.

The heaviest activity was recorded over Krasnodar Krai, where 14 drones were shot down. Two more were intercepted over Belgorod Region and two over Crimea. Single UAVs were destroyed over Bryansk and Rostov Regions, while six were eliminated over the Black Sea.

Air defense forces had also been engaged the previous day. Between 08:00 and 20:00 Moscow time on March 19, they intercepted 10 drones: four over Kursk Region, three over Bryansk Region, two over Belgorod Region, and one over Crimea.

Bryansk Region Governor Alexander Bogomaz reported that kamikaze drone strikes on the same day caused damage to residential buildings. The affected locations included the village of Demyanki, the settlement of Klimovo in Klimovsky District, and the village of Shilinka. No casualties were reported in any of these incidents.

In addition, an artillery strike hit the settlement of Belaya Berezka in Trubchevsky District. The attack damaged seven residential homes, an industrial building, and a civilian vehicle. No injuries were reported.
