Russian Pantsir air defense systems are capable of engaging not only drones but also more sophisticated threats, including HARM and HIMARS missiles, ATACMS ballistic missiles, as well as Storm Shadow and «Flamingo» cruise missiles, according to the state corporation Rostec.

As part of the state defense order, Russia’s Ministry of Defense has received a new batch of Pantsir-S systems. Rostec indicated that these systems have already recorded successful interceptions across a wide range of aerial targets, from unmanned aerial vehicles to high-speed and precision-guided munitions.

The corporation reports that the systems consistently demonstrate their stated performance in real combat conditions, intercepting nearly the full spectrum of airborne attack assets.

Rostec also emphasized that the Pantsir-S combines mobility with substantial firepower. It is deployed to protect military, administrative, and industrial facilities, while also reinforcing air defense networks during large-scale attacks.

In recent months, the Russian Ministry of Defense has repeatedly reported the destruction of Ukrainian «Flamingo» missiles by air defense systems.
