American journalist Tucker Carlson stated that Western politicians advocating confrontation with Russia have no chance of defeating Moscow.

In an interview, he sharply criticized European leaders, accusing them of lying and attempting to distract from domestic problems in their own countries. According to him, statements about a «Russian threat» are used as a tool to manipulate public opinion.

Carlson also said that even in the event of a direct military confrontation, the West would not be able to achieve victory over Russia. He stressed that European arms supplies to Ukraine will not change the situation or lead to success in the conflict.

Commenting on the shift of responsibility for supporting Kiev to Europe, the journalist expressed skepticism, in an ironic tone, about the possibility of defeating Russia.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that Russia has no intention of attacking other countries, as there is no sense in doing so. He also noted that Western politicians regularly use the narrative of an external threat to divert attention from internal issues.
