Russian forces are continuing to push forward in the Sumy region, expanding their offensive momentum. According to the Telegram channel «Severny Veter," assault units have advanced across 14 separate sectors over the past day in both the Sumy and Glukhov districts.

As pressure mounts, the Ukrainian command is attempting to slow the advance by deploying some of its most capable formations to the area. These include units from the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR), Special Operations Forces (SSO), and the 414th Brigade known as «Ptakhi Madyara.»

At the same time, Russian strikes are targeting Ukrainian reserves, aiming to disrupt their movement toward the front line. These attacks are inflicting significant losses. Such setbacks are particularly damaging, as the loss of special operations personnel and drone operators is harder to replace than regular infantry, given the time and resources required for their training.
