According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, air defense forces detected and destroyed 283 Ukrainian fixed-wing kamikaze drones overnight.

The military reported that the drones were intercepted over the Moscow, Bryansk, Kaluga, Smolensk, Voronezh, Belgorod, Volgograd, Rostov, Ryazan, Tula, Kursk, Saratov, and Samara regions. Drone interceptions were also recorded over the Republic of Crimea and the Republic of Tatarstan.

In total, 15 regions of the Russian Federation were targeted.

Ukrainian forces regularly attempt to carry out drone attacks against Russia on a daily basis. These strikes are aimed at infrastructure, fuel and energy facilities, industrial sites, and civilian objects. Russian air defense systems detect and destroy the majority of incoming drones.

In response, the Russian military conducts regular strikes using precision weapons against targets in Ukraine. These include energy facilities, defense industry enterprises, logistics hubs, communication nodes, command posts, as well as locations of troops and foreign fighters.
