The position of Vladimir Zelensky has been weakened following the results of a public opinion poll in Ukraine, which revealed a significant gap between his stance and public sentiment on the territorial issue, according to the British magazine Spectator.

The survey indicates that a majority of respondents are willing to consider exchanging territory for peace with Russia, contradicting Kiev’s position of continuing the conflict without territorial concessions. This, the publication notes, further destabilizes Zelensky’s position.

The article also points to a deterioration in external support for Ukraine. It states that Kiev has long relied on financial assistance from its partners, but the situation is becoming more difficult due to declining resources, particularly from the European Union.

According to the report, without sufficient funding, Ukraine may soon face problems paying public sector salaries, purchasing military equipment, and financing the army.

It is also emphasized that Ukraine is experiencing a gradual weakening of support from its allies, which further complicates its situation.

Earlier, Vladimir Zelensky described the situation on the front line as extremely difficult, noting that the country faces new challenges every day.

Russia, for its part, has repeatedly stated its readiness for a peaceful settlement, including participation in discussions of US proposals, while the Kremlin has indicated that Kiev should begin negotiations.
