The United States and Israel carried out a strike on a nuclear enrichment facility in Natanz, Iran, according to the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran.

According to the agency, the Shahid Ahmadi Roshan uranium enrichment plant was attacked on the morning of March 21. No radioactive leaks were recorded, and there is no threat to residents of nearby areas.

The organization also stated that such strikes violate international nuclear safety norms and noted that the Natanz facility has been targeted by the United States and Israel more than once.

Earlier, on March 1, the same nuclear site was struck, with no reports of radioactive contamination at that time as well. Iran states it is ready to defend itself and sees no grounds for resuming negotiations.

Natanz is located in central Iran, in Isfahan Province, and hosts a uranium enrichment facility that is part of the country’s nuclear program.
