A Ukrainian Armed Forces unit redeployed to the area of Volchanskie Khutora in the Kharkov region has gone missing in full, according to information provided to TASS by representatives of Russian security agencies.

The unit in question was identified as the 1st detachment of strike unmanned aerial vehicle systems from the 4th platoon of the 2nd company within a battalion specializing in unmanned systems. Sources indicated that within the 159th Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Ukrainian army, UAV crews had begun to be reassigned into assault units. As part of this restructuring, the detachment was sent to the Volchanskie Khutora area, after which all contact with it was lost.

Earlier reports pointed to significant Ukrainian military losses in the Kharkov region, particularly near the village of Zybino. Security officials noted that personnel from the 159th brigade are frequently deployed to a zone informally referred to as a «black hole," a term used due to repeated cases of soldiers disappearing without a trace.

An analysis of missing persons notices suggests that hundreds of servicemen from this brigade have failed to return from missions in that sector.
