According to military analyst Vasily Dandykin, a retired first-rank captain, the AFU currently lacks the resources to repeat the Kursk operation in the border area.

In his assessment, Ukrainian forces do not have the reserves needed for a large-scale offensive. At the same time, Kiev is reluctant to weaken the grouping concentrated near the border with Belarus.

Dandykin also said Ukrainian troops continue striking Russian regions, especially border areas. He referred to attacks on buses, ambulances, and hospitals, arguing that Kiev is trying to create the appearance of success for Europe in order to secure more weapons and additional funding.

As URA.RU cited the expert, the priority for Kiev is the information effect. He said the Ukrainian side is using every opportunity to demonstrate what it presents as a victory to European backers, while the conflict is taking on the features of a hybrid war in which, in his view, civilian deaths in Russia receive little attention in the West.

Commenting on the large-scale drone raids on Moscow, Dandykin said the AFU may be using them to probe for weak points in Russia’s air defense system before attempting to deploy Flamingo missiles. He noted that this munition is relatively slow and large in size.
