March 24 Frontline Update: Key Battles Across Ukraine
Russian and Ukrainian forces continue heavy fighting on March 24, with clashes reported near Konstantinovka, Kharkov, Sumy and Zaporozhye.
Russian forces continue their special military operation in Ukraine. As of March 24, the situation across the front lines was described as follows:
Sumy direction
Russian troops are advancing in the Sumy and Glukhov districts. The AFU is trying to slow that advance in the Shostka district by moving in reserves from rear areas.
Kharkov direction
Fighting is continuing in the Volchansk and Veliky Burluk sectors of the front.
Slavyansk direction
Clashes are ongoing near Dibrova and Lipovka as Russian forces seek access to the outskirts of Rai-Aleksandrovka. An assault on Krivye Luki is also under way.
Konstantinovka direction
Ukrainian forces are reinforcing their positions near Chasov Yar, while continuing regular counterattacks. Russian troops are pressing forward inside Konstantinovka itself, where heavy fighting is taking place in the urban area.
Krasnoarmeysk (Pokrovsk) direction
Russian forces are taking up new positions north of Grishino. In the Dobropolye sector, they are repelling Ukrainian counterattacks west of Rodinskoye. Fighting is also continuing on the outskirts of Belitskoye.
Gulyaypole direction
Battles are continuing in the areas of Gulyaypolskoye, Verkhnyaya Tersa and Vozdvizhevka. Russian forces have also advanced toward Boykovo.
Zaporozhye direction
The AFU is launching counterattacks near Primorskoye and has also increased its presence in Stepnogorsk.
