The United States plans to announce the end of the conflict with Iran on April 9, Ynet reports, citing a source in Israel. According to the source, the date is linked to Donald Trump’s plans to visit Israel and receive a national award.
Earlier, political analyst Bogdan Bezpalko, a member of the Council on Interethnic Relations under the President of the Russian Federation, expressed the view that Trump’s statements about a temporary truce and rapprochement with Iran could be used as a tool to lower oil prices and pressure Tehran into negotiations. He also noted that oil prices could have reached $150 per barrel if certain sanctions on Russia had not been lifted and restrictions on Iranian energy resources had not been eased.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, in turn, stated that the situation in the Middle East remains difficult to predict and, in his assessment, current developments do not indicate any improvement.
