Andrey Kolesnik, a member of the State Duma’s Defense Committee, said the Russian military has the capability to strike Vladimir Zelensky’s residence if he were there, while stressing that any such decision would rest solely with Russia’s top military command.

Kolesnik argued that Zelensky frequently moves around Europe and, in his view, has already prepared places to stay there. For that reason, he said, trying to locate him at a permanent residence in Ukraine would be pointless because he would more likely be somewhere in Europe.

Earlier, military expert Andrey Marochko said Ukrainian forces had redeployed some surface-to-air missile systems from Kharkov Region to Kiev Region to strengthen protection around Zelensky’s residence amid fears of an assassination attempt.
