Russian units are continuing their advance near Dibrova, pushing Ukrainian Armed Forces out of the southern outskirts of Liman in the Donetsk People’s Republic, military expert Andrey Marochko told TASS.

According to him, the overall situation in the Liman sector is increasingly tilting in Russia’s favor. Combat operations are being carried out in a consistent manner and are already producing tangible results.

Amid mounting pressure, Ukrainian troops are being forced to withdraw and fall back to more distant defensive positions. Marochko indicated that this involves a redeployment to second- and third-line defenses in the Dibrova area, driven by their inability to hold back the Russian advance.

Fighting in this sector is unfolding along a фронт stretching roughly 10 kilometers.

Earlier, the expert also noted that over the past week Russian forces had been advancing in multiple directions-north, east, and south of Liman-while also expanding their zone of control near Stavki.
