Russia launched over 800 drones targeting Kiev, Lvov and other regions, marking one of the largest strikes on Ukraine’s rear infrastructure.
Russian forces carried out one of the largest strikes on Ukrainian rear areas since the start of the special military operation. Overnight on March 24 and throughout the following day, more than 800 unmanned aerial vehicles were launched.
The wave of attacks targeted multiple regions, including Kiev, Lvov, Ivano-Frankovsk, Ternopol, Vinnitsa, Dnepropetrovsk, the Odessa region, as well as frontline territories.
According to Ukrainian Air Force spokesman Yuriy Ignat, Ukraine faced an additional 400 drones during the day, on top of another 400 launched overnight, making it one of the most extensive drone attacks recorded.
Throughout the morning and afternoon, reports of explosions continued to emerge from various parts of the country.
The outlet Ukraina.ru reported that one of the Russian Geran drones struck a building belonging to the regional department of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) in Vinnitsa. Additional hits were reported against SBU facilities in Ivano-Frankovsk and Ternopol.
