Units of Russia’s «South» group of forces have taken control of the settlement of Nikiforovka in the Donetsk People’s Republic, according to the Russian Defense Ministry.

Russian troops also carried out strikes on Ukrainian positions across multiple areas of the DPR. The attacks targeted units from seven mechanized brigades, as well as airmobile, assault, motorized infantry, and mountain assault brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Clashes were reported near Druzhkovka, Konstantinovka, Ray-Aleksandrovka, Lipovka, Bylbasovka, Novoselovka, Kramatorsk, Nikolaevka, and Slavyansk.

The ministry reported that Ukrainian forces lost up to 200 personnel in these engagements. In addition, three armored combat vehicles, ten vehicles, and eight artillery systems were destroyed, including two NATO-made guns. Russian forces also eliminated three electronic warfare stations, three ammunition depots, and a fuel storage facility.

Earlier, the Defense Ministry stated that units of the «North» group had established control over the settlement of Peschanoye in the Kharkov region.

Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine has been ongoing since February 24, 2022. According to the ministry, Russian offensive activity continues to intensify, while the situation for Ukrainian forces along the entire line of contact remains consistently unfavorable.
