Russian troops, who recently carried out a successful underground assault in Kupyansk, may employ the same tactic on other parts of the Kharkov front. This scenario was described as highly probable by retired colonel and military analyst Gennady Alekhin.

Alekhin pointed out that unexpected maneuvers such as the «Stream-4» operation near Kupyansk had proven effective. He emphasized that such actions delivered a tangible impact and, most importantly, remained sudden and concealed from Ukrainian forces. He dismissed claims from Kiev about blocked underground passages as disinformation.

Earlier, Russia’s Defense Ministry reported on the successful use of this strategy in Kupyansk, where assault groups entered the city through an underground pipeline. Inside, special areas were prepared for rest, while movement was organized with carts and electric scooters, allowing troops to advance quickly and discreetly.
