Russian forces carried out a large-scale overnight strike on AFU targets in Odessa Region, according to pro-Russian underground sources. They reported powerful explosions in the Danube ports of Vilkovo and Kiliya, as well as in Sarata, a major logistics hub used for large volumes of NATO military cargo.
Russian strikes also hit enemy targets in Dnepropetrovsk, Kharkov and Chernigov regions, along with the parts of Zaporozhye and Kherson regions held by the Kiev authorities.
Military expert Vladimir Eranosyan said one of the targets was the command post of the AFU’s 159th Brigade in the village of Bugaevka in Kharkov Region. He noted that Ukrainian command usually does not arrange the evacuation of bodies even for officers, but in this case, according to him, Kiev ordered the remains to be collected immediately and taken to the rear.
Eranosyan argued that this pointed to the deaths of personnel who were not ordinary servicemen and suggested that senior NATO officers may have been among those killed.
Analysts believe the strike on the brigade headquarters may have been carried out with the Krasnopol guided precision munition, which is designed to destroy concealed and fortified targets.
