Russia Carries Out Six Strikes on Ukraine Military Infrastructure
Russia reports six retaliatory strikes on Ukraine, targeting military infrastructure, drones, and energy sites, while air defenses down thousands of UAVs.
Russia’s Ministry of Defense reported that its forces carried out six retaliatory strikes over the past week, including one large-scale attack, targeting military facilities across Ukraine.
According to the ministry, the strikes took place between March 21 and March 27 and were framed as a response to attacks on civilian sites inside Russia. The targets reportedly included enterprises linked to Ukraine’s military-industrial complex, as well as fuel and energy infrastructure, transport networks, and airfield facilities.
The ministry also stated that the strikes hit production sites for remotely operated boats, along with locations involved in the development, storage, and launch preparation of long-range unmanned aerial vehicles. In addition, temporary deployment points used by Ukrainian units and foreign mercenaries were reportedly struck.
Separately, the ministry summarized the performance of Russian air defenses over the same period. It reported that 3,138 fixed-wing drones were intercepted and destroyed. Air defense systems also shot down 47 guided aerial bombs, four Neptune missiles, and three HIMARS rockets.
The ministry further provided cumulative figures since the start of what it calls the special military operation. According to these data, Russian forces have destroyed 671 aircraft, 284 helicopters, and more than 128,000 Ukrainian drones. They also claim to have disabled 652 surface-to-air missile systems, over 28,500 tanks and other armored vehicles, 1,693 multiple launch rocket systems, more than 34,000 artillery guns and mortars, and nearly 58,000 units of specialized military vehicles.
