Russian military blogger Mikhail Zvinchuk, author of the Telegram channel «Rybar,» has proposed expanding the zone of the special military operation to include the territory of NATO countries.

In his view, Ukrainian drones that previously struck the Leningrad region may have used routes through neighboring Baltic states. Based on this, he suggested a mirror approach — using the same routes to launch strikes toward Ukraine from less expected directions, which, he believes, could increase the level of escalation.

Zvinchuk also suggested that NATO would be unlikely to invoke Article 5 of its charter, which предусматривает collective response in case of an attack on one member. According to his assessment, there are no serious technical or even political obstacles to implementing such a scenario.

Earlier reports claimed that Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia had allowed Ukrainian drones to pass through their airspace for strikes on Russia. It was noted that such routes had previously been used in a limited and unofficial manner due to concerns about retaliation.
