On the Dobropolye axis, Ukrainian units are deploying mines with an unusual design, featuring numerous thin triggering elements. This was reported to RIA Novosti by a driver from a marine infantry unit of Russia’s «Center» grouping, known by the call sign «Rusich.»

He explained that these munitions disperse upon landing, scattering across the surrounding area. According to him, the devices operate on a «dandelion» principle: even slight contact with one of the thin protruding elements is enough to trigger an explosion. He also noted that, after roughly six days, the mines can detonate on their own.

Another type of mine was described by the commander of a marine infantry drone systems unit, call sign «Hishchnik.» He reported that Ukrainian forces are also using improvised devices disguised as vegetation and dropped from heavy drones. These were discovered by Russian troops while advancing toward their positions. He described them as metal, pointed cones filled with explosives and added that they are equipped with magnetic fuses.
